It turns out that Adderall users are those who need to cram in a few extra hours of study time because they did not plan ahead to begin with.

Lawsuit alleges Pfizer used bogus research to get approval for its blockbuster antipsychotic drug Geodon

The lawsuit, filed by Dr. Stefan Kruszewski of Harrisburg, Pa., alleges that three of the researchers who helped conduct Geodon clinical trials – Dr. Richard Borison, Dr. Bruce Diamond and Dr. Louis Fabre – have been sanctioned by regulatory authorities. Borison and Diamond were debarred by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and received prison time, according to the suit, and Fabre earned sanctions in Texas for research misconduct.

Adderall addiction: A growing trend with life-threatening consequences

Stimulant addiction can be rather tricky; it is probably due to the fact that as opposed to other illegal substances such as cocaine and heroin, the trigger for taking the drugs outside of its primary medical purpose appears “harmless”. Among the adverse and potentially life-threatening effects of stimulant addiction are cardiovascular failure, seizures, and feelings of paranoia.

Psychiatric Torture in China

After U.N. Special Rapporteur Prof. Manfred Nowak’s two week country visit to China at the end of 2005, the U.N. published a report on the country mission to China. The report states that torture occurred in Chinese mental hospitals in 8% of the cases submitted to the Special Rapporteur over the 5-year period from 2000 to 2006.
